About as large and heavy as a submarine anti-ship torpedo, the RMS-3 'Archangel of Death' is the 'Big Brother' of the RMS-1 and -2 'Angel of Death' missiles. Intended to make more certain kills than the smaller RMS-2 missiles, the RMS-3 has a longer range, higher delta-v and larger warhead.
Used by mecha as well as by ship missile launchers, the RMS-3 has suffered in its deployment from a dearth of Zentraedi vessels, the target it was designed for. In their stead, the REF mostly encountered Invid, who could be dealt with as easily by the smaller, cheaper and more commonly available RMS-2 missiles.
