  • 2 x Touwhaug Rasilszt-9 missile launchers. These launchers can replace the Karatszon Quillo-152 pulse lasers of a standard Regult pod. Each missile launcher carries 24 Gerluj Touwhaug, Gluuk Awhaug or Vlwheralt Awhaug (codenamed Miff, Megrim or Morgoth by the RDF) missiles, or a combination of these.

Moloch Missile
Serauhaug Regult only:
  • 2 x Touwhaug Rasilszt-10 missile launchers. These launchers can replace the Karatszon Quillo-152 pulse lasers of a standard Regult pod. Each missile launcher carries 2 Seraum (codenamed Moloch by the RDF) missiles.

VIII. Armor:

The armor of the Regult is composed of an advanced titanium-steel alloy. The armor stops all small arms and heavy infantry weapons fire, but provides only poor resistance to light mecha-mounted weaponry, such as the Zentraedi 22.3mm HE autocannon round, and virtually no resistance to medium mecha-mounted weaponry, such as the Valkyrie's 55mm APFSDS round.

The Regult provides full protection from nuclear, biological, and chemical hazards, using a sealed cockpit environment. The internal consumables supplies can provide breathable atmosphere for four days maximum.

IX. Development:

The Regult was developed in the beginning of the 19th century by the Tirolian overlords of the Zentraedi as the general-purpose mecha for the Zentraedi armies and fleets. As all other Zentraedi mecha, the Regult and its versions were produced in automated factories spread through the Tirolian Mercantile Empire, as well as by the Robotech Factory Satellite. The number of Regult pods produced can only be estimated to lie around the two to three billion.

The Regult Tactical Battle Pod and its three derivatives, the two missile carrying Gluuhaug and Serauhaug as well as the unarmed Del reconnaissance version formed a complete infantry army. All Regult mecha had a high mobility and, save for the Del, heavy armament. They lacked a substantial armor protection, However. Because of the need for simple manufacturing, the sensor suite, while complete, was of mediocre quality. Indeed, equipping a Regult with high quality sensors was only possible if all armament was removed.

The Regult versions were issued as standard equipment to the mechanised troops of the Zentraedi army and the assault troops on the large starships, providing the race with a very mobile and heavily armed infantry corps. To provide an efficient weapons fit for sqaudrons of Regult, one out of every 10 battle pods is usually a Gluuhaug version, and one out of every 20 is usually a Serauhaug version. Del versions are typically assigned as needed.
